About the Title
New Kids At The Grown Ups Table is both a play off of the title of the chuch, Open Table Community, as well as an accurate description of what it feels like to move into areas of community service with the help of other ministries and churches more mature than you are. You feel like a little kid who has suddenly been invited by the Lord to sit with the older, more interesting, more mature people who treat you like you want to be treated even though you are younger, more foolish, and pretentious.
Who are the Grown-Ups? For us they are Cross-cultural Ministries, Whirlwind Ministries, Charis Community Housing, 2nd Mile Ministries, Urban Impact, the CCDA, and Unite!
